What is the best thing to use to clear “acne”

According to my personal experiences, Vitamin C Face Polish from the Body Shop, Aveeno’s Brightening Daily Face Scrub, or Burt’s Bees Peach & Willowbark Deep Pore Scrub. Any one of these works way better for me than anything that contains “acne medication” such as salicylic acid or benzol peroxide. But others reported that those acne medication works for them. I guess it really depends on individuals and different skin conditions, different causes of acne, etc. You can also try some natural acne skin care products.

Try an acne system. All skin types are different as we know. I dont have chronic breakouts, but i have always used the Neutrogena system and it has done WONDERS for me. They just introduced a skin clearing acne system that is like Proactiv, only better! Proactiv irritated my skin and made it dry, but the Neutrogena worked like a charm. my skin looks and feels better already. it comes with the cleanser, the toner and lotion, and using them together helps tackle the main causes of acne… dirt, oil and bacteria.
Also neutrogena has the glycerin bar wich is great and this MIRACLE cream called ‘On the spot’ you just pop a bad pimple and put a dab of the cream on it and the next morning that zit will have imporved tremendously!!
Clean & Clear works pretty well also, but i would try the neutrogena, see if it helps if not, then there are so many others to choose from..

it is best to go to a dermatologist to find out what works best for you skin type but there are a few non-persciptions available.

First of all it is important to realize most acne is caused by clogged pores. It is necessary to wash your face at least twice a day. First thing in the morning and right before you go to bed. If you play sports or get sweaty during the day it can be very effective to carry face wipes or oil removing sheets with you to use throughout the day. Make up also contributes to lots of acne problems. Try to wear a light make up or buy Neutrogena acne fighting makeup. Lastly acne can be caused internally, and that can be treated with medication. Ziana is a good product for acne that seems to be in the same places, it is a topical cream that goes deep. Benzaclin is a a good topical cream for sudden breakouts and can also be used to prevent breakouts. Then there’s ProActive. This is the only product I haven’t actually tried but I have heard it works well with all skin types.

i use st. ives invigorating scrub (or they also have the gentle/ sensitive skin solution) and i use biore’ pore strips for my nose, they work great (a little painful but well worth the results over a few days), i also use the biore’ products like pore minimizing moisturizer and face wash, it helps keep your pores small so things like dirt and whatnot aren’t as likely to clog them up…i always drink plenty of water because i’ve found if i do, it makes my skin feel better (not nessecarily clearer) but it makes it feel healthier, and i eat fruits…maybe that doesnt help keep it clear but it makes it feel a lot better. hope this helps. = )

Monica had some good suggestions. Wash your face morning & night. I use a cleansing wash called Cetaphil.

I tried all those salicylic and benzoyl peroxide things, but it didn’t work. If you have severe acne, try going to the dermatolgist! They can prescribe something stronger that can help to clear it up really well.

    Good luck!
